ATLAS MOUNTAINS DAY TRIP FROM FES – MIDDLE ATLAS SIGHTSEEING join with us in an exploring trip to discover the mountain area of morocco , a chance to open up on the old berber cultures , a chance to enjoy the beauty of the pure nature and the previous tremendous berber culture .

Description :

We start our journey from Fes driving to the Atlas Mountains , a wonderful Day Trip in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. We will have Imouzzer as a first stop, a lovely small village between Fes and Ifrane. We’re going to enjoy its fresh air there, before moving to Azrou witch is an authentic Berber township where you can see locals still having life in tent & caves. We can also see houses with a classic green painted doors, windows and glazed tiles. Afterward, we’re going to visit caves; One of them is  Mama Aicha cave which established about three hundred years ago. We’re also going to enjoy visiting local people and have a short conversation with them. With the translation from our guide to understand, and get extra information about Berber culture & traditions. Besides, we will also visit the oldest cedar forest in Morocco and Africa too. Where we can enjoy the cool and quiet surroundings of this lovely area. Later on , in our wonderful Atlas Mountains Day Trip, we will steal a brief glimpse of Berber apes jumping over the higher branches and swinging through the trees. then, we will drinking tea with native Berber family living in a tent , Sitting with them in Berber carpet and ask some questions to explore more about their tradition,culture & their lifestyle. Then , we will discover  Ifrane ”the little Switzerland” and entertain seeing flower-lined paths and the French-style architecture of this quaint little ski resort. After that , we’re going to drive about 15 kilometers from Ifrane to reach a lovely stretch of water ” lake Dayit Awa” that will offer an incredible natural landscape &  an ideal place to stroll & relax in front of that captivating lake. While, enjoying our tour , your driver will guide you to a traditional restaurant to have a tasty tempting lunch, also help with any in shopping if you would like to buy some of the local arts and crafts or even some souvenirs . Your tour ends back to Fes Medina in the late afternoon .

SCHEDULE :

You will be picked up from your centrally located hotel in Fez for a private Atlas Mountains Day Trip. Set out in an air-conditioned minibus with your bilingual guide (English and French-speaking) and enjoy this day trip from Fez. The first stop will be at the ancient town of Azrou where you can enjoy an orientation tour. Azrou is flanked by steep wooded hills and a volcanic outcrop from which it also gets its name. See the houses with their typical green painted doors and windows and green glazed tiles. Wander through its famous Berber carpet bazaar and pick up a souvenir or two. Nearby is the best-preserved cedar forest in Morocco. Enjoy the cool, quiet surroundings of this beautiful region. Catch a glimpse of Barbary apes leaping and swinging through the trees. Continue towards Ifrane, a lovely Alpine village that is also known as ‘little Switzerland’. Drive past the flower-lined paths and French style architecture of this quaint little town, built by the French on the Atlas ranges at a height of about 1,650 metres above sea level. Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or the closest drop-off point in Fez .
